We are extremely lucky to be based in a place that has access to wonderful fresh produce. When we first started Tasmanian Gourmet Kitchen our aim was to support local growers and make use of the best produce available in season. We believe that is why our savoury marmalades and chutneys taste so good.

A wonderful blend of the sweet earthy tones of beetroot combined with the zing of ginger – this chutney goes with everything. Try it with Atlantic salmon – a perfect combination or liven up roast pork. Also delicious with all types of venison and game meats.

 

Red Pepper Marmalade

Red Pepper Marmalade

A delicious product made from char-grilled red capsicum peppers (so it is not chilli hot!). We called it marmalade as the recipe includes plenty of citrus to compliment the smoky smooth taste of the red peppers. Great with soft cheeses, chicken salad and roast beef sandwiches

 

Spiced Pear Chutney

Spiced Pear Chutney

An exceptionally large crop from our heritage pear tree at home spurred us into action and a new TGK product was born. Launched in September 2009 this new chutney is already a favourite. Designed with chutney’s Indian origins in mind, we have combined local Tassie pears with more exotic spices to create a great all rounder. Delicious with chicken, sausages, vegetarian dishes and of course curries.

Spicy Tomato and Apple Chutney

This recipe is one that I grew up with in the UK. We have put it in production because it is a delicious all rounder and is especially good with sausages and chops cooked on the barbeque. It has lots of flavour and although it is called 'Spicy' it is not too hot.
